Third floor

The third floor

The third floor holds the large primary bedrooms. The third floor hallway features a colorful stained glass skylight and a curved wall that holds an old gas lamp that has been converted to an electric hallway light. The hallway leads to a full bathroom with a shower stall and a high skylight that floods the room (and hallway) with light.

The front bedroom

The front bedroom is the largest bedroom in the house. It has beautiful moldings including a ceiling medallion and a newly crafted window seat in the front bay window. This window has the best view of the sunset in the house. The south-facing windows drench the room with sunlight during the day. The room is ample enough to fit a king-sized bed with a lot of room left over. Pocket doors lead to a large (11'3" x 4'6") walk-in closet.

The master bedroom

The Wedgewood-blue-painted master bedroom is a peaceful room that faces the back of the house, with 2 windows overlooking the deck and garden. With the windows open, the delightful sound of birdsong drifts in. The focal point of the room is an exposed brick chimney with mantel.

The room has a new Casablanca brand ceiling fan with multi-speed fan and multi-level light fixtures controlled from the wall unit. There is a large (11'3" x 4'7") walk-in closet with built in cabinetry.

The master bathroom is a bright room with chrome fixtures throughout. The leaves from the trees in the backyard cast a pleasant green hue through the frosted glass window next to the wonderful claw-foot tub with rainfall showerhead. The faucets have white faux-porcelain handles. There are chrome towel hangers and a multitude of hotel-style chrome hooks. There is also an additional tiled shower stall.
