Interior design

This is sick. Someone has to get these guys to turn this Color Mixer Light into a product. Go check out their demo.

The lamp looks like LEDs attached to metal cylinder inside a globe of plastic cups. Their hardware remote has 3 analog knobs to control the mix of Red Green Blue light, with level indicators for each color on a small LCD. They are also able to control RGB values from an iPhone app--looks like an SSH or terminal window with Unix commands to set values. I want this in my house.

Angie finds some yummy furniture design sites. She writes:

Spent part of the weekend looking at yummy furniture design. I swear, I'd design furniture myself if it wasn't for the fact that even my stick men look awful. Regardless, notable sites include:

Wow. Mike pointed to SketchUp a sketch based 3D rendering program that runs on Mac OS X. Awesome if you don't want to learn CAD but want to explore ideas in 3D.

I'm starting to collect URLs for wall painting tips.

"How to sponge paint" -- instructions for using a grid to evenly distribute marks.

Home and Garden Television. "Paint Technique: Sponging" -- same as "How to sponge paint". Basic instructions.

iVillage. "Paint a Fresco Effect" -- instructions for creating fresco effects with sponges.

Hirshfields: Faux painting methods including Colorwashing, Combing, Dragging, Rag Rolling, Sponge Painting, Marbleizing.

Some furniture vendors we're looking at because affordable contemporary furniture can be really ugly and boring. The following vendors look good and the pieces below might suit us specifically.
