Just noticed this new wiki feature today. Broken in Safari at the moment. They must have been adding this as I was trying it, because when I added the link to the wiki on Lou and Peter's book page, the URL wasn't clickable initially. When I revisited the page a short while later, the link was clickable. Strange. Wonder how this will be abused.
I noticed the citations feature today as well. Don't know how long it's been there. These are the citations for Lou and Peter's IA for the WWW book
Talk about feature creep. Amazing how much stuff they're cramming into these pages. Peter pointed out to me that they removed the sidebars, a detail I actually didn't notice before he mentioned it.

Did you notice how they got rid of the sidebars on product pages and changed the overall pageshape? it's really just a long list of stuff now on those pages. I kinda like it :)

I actually didn't realize that the sidebars were gone until you mentioned it. Strange. I do like that the page is simpler in that respect. I had grown blind to the sidebars, banner blind actually. I guess the thing this is forcing me to do is to remap the page contents cognitively.

What a great buzz opportunity to give good, thoughtful reviews about business books and such. Also, I am sure it will spawn a mini industry of people that will design Amazon Wiki material for products.

Does this still exist? I was looking for it on the pages mentioned and I have not seen it. But what I noticed was the author's blog post.
But this I assume is just RSS feeds read by Amazon. I don't see the Wiki stuff anymore. I wonder why it's gone?

This entry is over 2 years old now. I think the wiki feature is long gone because I haven't seen it in quite a while, and it was never really announced. But I wonder if the "Customer Discussions" section isn't what replaced the wiki feature.

I never knew that Amazon has a wiki. Anyway, as an amazon affiliate, i think their sales profitability sucks...

This whole “amazon-wiki” beeswax is just eye-candy. But it’s good for the wiki buzz. I figure we have 2 years to convert that into something useful that transcends the limitations of the (oh-so-limited) medium.
